After being accused in a sexual harassment case, Anurag Kashyap took his social media handles to share a statement released by his lawyer Priyanka Khimani. In the released statement, the lawyer claimed that her client has been deeply pained by the false allegations of sexual harassment that are put against him by actress Payal Ghosh.
Sharing the statement the film director wrote, ‘And here is the statement from my lawyer @PriyankaKhimani.. on my behalf.. thank You’
The filmmaker was recently accused of sexual misconduct by actress Payal Ghosh. The film actress wrote on Twitter that Anurag Kashyap had forced himself badly on her. Ghosh tagged Prime Minister requesting him to take actions against Kashyap.

Shocked at the allegations, the film director had dismissed all of them saying that all these claims made by Payal Ghosh are “baseless”.
To Payal’s support came Kangana Ranaut who has recently cooked up many controversies around other celebrities. Backing the complainer, Kangana slammed Anurag Kashyap and tweeted that “I far as I know Anurag self admittedly has never been monogamous even when he was married to various people, what Anurag did to Payal is a common practice in Bollywood, treating struggling outsider girls like sex workers comes naturally to them #AnuragKashyap #PayalGhosh”

Besides Kangana, an author Shefali Vaidya countered Taapsee by sharing an old tweet by her – “MeToo [can’t] reach any productive conclusion until we stop celebrating the accused.” “Awww @taapsee so good to see you #SmashPatriarchy by ‘celebrating the accused’,” she wrote. “How did you achieve such exquisite levels of hypocrisy though?” Vaidya asked.

Before this allegation from Miss Ghosh could have taken any wrong lead upon Anurag, several celebrities from the film industry came forward to lend support to the film director. The names include Taapsee Pannu, Radhika Apte, Anubhav Sinha, his ex-wife Kalki Koechlin and many others.

While putting allegations on Kashyap, Payal Ghosh allegedly happened to mentioned Richa Chadha in her tweet which has raged the former from head to toe and is now planning to sue Miss Ghosh for this mistake. Richa has released a statement on her Insta handle;
Also, Kashyap’s first wife Aarti Bajaj wrote a post on Instagram in his support and called all these allegations against him ‘a cheapest stunt’ she has ever seen. She further wrote, “Keep empowering women as you do and the safest place you create all of them. I see it first hand with our daughters”.
